LYON, KENNETH E. of Duncanville passed away Feb. 13, 2004. Born Oct. 21, 1933 in Dallas, Mr. Lyon was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He also served in the US Coast Guard Reserves. A career police officer, Mr. Lyon retired in 1986 from the Dallas Police Department as a lieutenant with thirty years of service. He was particularly proud to have been one of the arresting officers of Lee Harvey Oswald. Survivors include his children, Kim Howell & husband, Randy; Karen White & husband, Mark; Julie Lyon; Jimmy Lyon & wife Leah; sister, Peggy Livingston; friend, former wife & mother of his children, Beth Lyon; grandchildren, Preston, Landon & Madison Howell, Ashley, Brittany & Camryn White; along with many nieces & nephews. Funeral Services are 9:30 AM, Monday, Feb. 16, 2004 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville. Burial will follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
